About the Role:

We’re seeking a motivated Arboriculture Team Member to join our client's dynamic Open Space & Facilities team. You’ll play an integral role in maintaining the health, safety and presentation of Wyndham City’s trees, parks and reserves. This is a hands-on role within a supportive and safety-focused environment, ideal for an experienced arborist who enjoys working outdoors and contributing to community spaces.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform arboriculture and parks maintenance duties to Council standards
• Operate plant and equipment such as chippers, EWPs, chainsaws and water tankers
• Undertake watering, mulching, formative pruning and emergency response work (e.g. storm events or bushfire support)
• Maintain tools and machinery, ensuring safe and efficient operation
• Complete risk assessments and job safety analyses (JSA)
• Supervise and support apprentices or trainees as required
• Deliver quality results with minimal disruption to the public

Requirements:

• Valid MR Driver’s Licence
• White Card
• Hydrant Users Water Permit (desirable)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Strong safety awareness and able to work outdoors
