Senior Application Developer
  • Monday – Friday (8:30am – 4:00pm)
  • Ending 15th May 2026 (w/ potential opportunity for extension)
  • WFH - 2 days per week

About the Role:

Our client has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Application Developer to join their growing and thriving organisation on an temporary assignment where you will potentially play a key role in contributing to the design, delivery, improvement and support of
digital systems and services.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver digital solutions through the full SDLC
  • Design, develop, and maintain systems (on-premise and cloud) to enhance business processes and integration
  • Create and maintain system documentation, user manuals and training materials
  • Ensure solutions align with Information Security Management Frameworks and ITIL practices
  • Identify and support process, architecture and organisational changes for successful implementation
  • Plan and manage work packages for internal teams and vendors
  • Gain deep knowledge of internal systems to support continuous improvement and innovation
  • Assist in backlog management, digital strategy execution and project delivery
  • Provide Level 2/3 support, database development and reporting/BI services
  • Support and mentor team members and foster strong stakeholder relationships
  • Contribute to audits, reviews, and policy/procedure documentation
  • Participate in training, volunteer management (if applicable) and other duties as required


Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary and supplementary professional/industry qualifications or degree
  • Extensive experience with Information Technology and business system service delivery in a large organisation
  • Extensive experience in the implementation, configuration, management and integration of complex systems
  • Extensive experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of digital systems as part of a complete software product lifecycle and optimising and integrating business processes across disparate systems
  • Proven experience in system development using .NET
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and RESTful Web APIs
  • Knowledge of security coding practices and techniques
  • Class C Driver’s Licence.
