About the Role:
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Service Desk Officer to help ensure that their technology support needs of internal users are responded to while focusing on providing a high level of customer satisfaction to both internal staff and customers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support via phone, email and other points of contact to Council’s users, escalating to other key Digital Services teams for resolution
- Use the IT Service Management system to document and track actions taken to diagnose, research and resolve customer issues including post resolution follow up to ensure customer satisfaction
- Work with customers to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
- Understand and follow departmental documentation, policy, procedures and standard operating practices
- Work with Service Desk management and staff to maintain a positive customer focused team environment
- Ensure courteous, prompt, accurate and appropriate communication with all key parties related to the customer request and issue
- Set up, configure and install hardware and software according to Council standards
- Proactively advise other Digital Services teams of customer needs, system errors, technical issues and risks
- Creation and maintenance of documentation, equipment registers and databases.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Information Technology or relevant field
- Strong experience in an Information Technology support role
- Experience providing end user support for enterprise technologies including networking, applications and infrastructure
- Experience supporting Windows 10 end user environments, audio visual equipment and meeting resources
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Class C driver's licence
