Casual On-going with a View to Permanency
Our client is Australia's leading recycling and packaging company. Due to growth within the business, they are in need of experienced Production Workers to join the team on a casual ongoing basis with a view to permanency for the right kind of candidates.
Production Worker - 1-week rotating roster between day and afternoon shifts
Monday - Friday - Day Shift - 6:00am - 1:30pm - $33.46 per hour + super
Monday - Friday - Afternoon Shift - 3:00pm - 10:30pm - $40.16 per hour + super
Duties:
Working on multiple cardboard manufacturing machines, you will be responsible for ensuring the paper is being fed into the machine correctly, and removed from the end of the production line with efficiency and accuracy
Quality checks on all products to ensure cutting, gluing and printing are to job order requirements
Machine operation
Calibration of machine settings
Lift, stack and palletise cardboard
Assisting with job changes, using basic hand tools
To be successful in this role, applicants must have:
1-2 years’ experience minimum in a similar factory setting
Previous experience in operation of similar machines that do printing, cutting, gluing and work on conveyor belts
Able to troubleshoot basic issues with conveyors and machines
Physically fit and able to stand on your feet for long periods of time
Able to complete quality checks of products looking at cut shape, glue binding, and printing
Physically fit and able to perform repetitive manual tasks
Positive attitude with the desire and ability to learn and establish a career in manufacturing
Proof of a stable, reliable work history with minimal to no days off
Ability to work full-time hours, Monday - Friday
Immediate and full availability to work
Clean police record
Able to pass a drug and alcohol test as well as random onsite testing
Full unrestricted working rights
