Street Cleaner – Immediate Start

We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Street Cleaners to join a City Clean team supporting community and public spaces.

This is a hands-on outdoor role suited to candidates who take pride in keeping environments clean, safe and presentable.

 
About the role
In this role you will be responsible for day-to-day street and public area cleaning, including:

Cleaning town centres and residential areas
Litter picking and waste collection
Weed control and removal of dumped rubbish
Cleaning pollution control equipment such as stormwater pits, river booms and traps
Operating small plant and equipment including whipper-snippers and blowers
Responding to urgent or emergency cleaning requests as required
 
What we’re looking for
To be successful, you will have:

Current Class C driver’s licence (essential)
Experience in street cleaning, waste, labouring or outdoor maintenance roles
Confidence using small plant and hand-held equipment
Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures
Reliability, resilience and a strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 
Desirable (but not essential)
HR or MR licence
Traffic Control certification
Experience operating rear loaders, road brooms or side loaders
