Candidates for this position MUST have experience operating both A Doubles and B Doubles to be successful.
Location: Epping or Brooklyn
Hours: 1:00pm starts for Afternoon Shift (10-12 hour shifts)
5:00pm starts for Night Shift (10-12 hour shifts)
Duties:
Safely operating a Multi Combination (MC) container truck to complete local deliveries
Adhering to all road rules and regulations to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of cargo. Performing basic pre-start vehicle checks and report maintenance issues
Providing exceptional customer service by delivering items in a timely and professional manner
Restraining loads prior to leaving the depot or customer sites
Maintaining the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle
Completing all necessary paperwork and documentation related to deliveries
Reporting any issues or concerns to the relevant supervisors
Responsible for accurate logbook keeping
Ensure safe operation of the truck and comply with road and workplace safety standards
To be successful in this role, applicants must have:
Valid MC Licence
Minimum 12-18months of experience ideally with container experience
Capable to drive both an A Double and B Double
MSIC is highly advantageous
Strong awareness of safety and fatigue management
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Positive attitude with the desire and ability to learn
Proof of a stable, reliable work history with minimal to no days off
Immediate and full availability to work
Clean VicRoads and police record (must be able to provide evidence)
Able to pass a drug and alcohol test as well as random onsite testing
