Airport Customer Service and Ramp Staff (No Aviation Experience Required)

Our client is a leading provider of ground and air cargo services, handling multiple flights per week at various locations throughout Australia. They are now seeking a reliable and enthusiastic candidate to join their team at the Burnie Airport. While prior experience in aviation is highly desirable, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Location:
Burnie, TAS.
Pay Rate:
$31 to $33 p/h + Shift Loading + Super
Roles:
Airport Customer Service
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Greeting customers with a smile at Check-in
Processing and checking travel documents meet requirements
Assigning seats on the aircraft
Preparing and issuing boarding passes and baggage reclaim vouchers
Gate boarding
Passenger Marshalling
Disruption Management
Airport Ramp Staff
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Bag Room functions: scanning and manual handling luggage.
Loading / unloading baggage & freight.
Aircraft Receipt & Dispatch.
Aircraft Pushback.
Water and waste services.
Operating Ground Service Equipment on Ramp.
Requirements:
Have a valid driver’s licence and reliable transport to get to and from Burnie Airport.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Reliability, Punctuality and excellent time management
Proficient computer skills
Be physically fit (able to lift and carry luggage onto the aircraft)
Able to obtain an ASIC card (requires federal police background check)
Willing and able to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Pass Drug and Alcohol tests.
