Airport Customer Service and Ramp Staff (No Aviation Experience Required)

Our client is a leading provider of ground and air cargo services, handling multiple flights per week at various locations throughout Australia. They are now seeking a reliable and enthusiastic candidate to join their team at the Burnie Airport. While prior experience in aviation is highly desirable, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
  
Location:
Burnie, TAS.

Pay Rate:
$31 to $33 p/h + Shift Loading + Super

Roles:

Airport Customer Service
Duties will include but not be limited to:
  • Greeting customers with a smile at Check-in
  • Processing and checking travel documents meet requirements
  • Assigning seats on the aircraft
  • Preparing and issuing boarding passes and baggage reclaim vouchers
  • Gate boarding
  • Passenger Marshalling
  • Disruption Management
Airport Ramp Staff
Duties will include but not be limited to:
  • Bag Room functions: scanning and manual handling luggage.
  • Loading / unloading baggage & freight.
  • Aircraft Receipt & Dispatch.
  • Aircraft Pushback.
  • Water and waste services.
  • Operating Ground Service Equipment on Ramp.
Requirements:

  • Have a valid driver’s licence and reliable transport to get to and from Burnie Airport.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Reliability, Punctuality and excellent time management
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Be physically fit (able to lift and carry luggage onto the aircraft)
  • Able to obtain an ASIC card (requires federal police background check)
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Pass Drug and Alcohol tests.
