Our client is seeking a Medical Receptionist to play a key role in the successful delivery of care to our patients and receiving excellent service in a professional and caring environment.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join a clinic located in Box Hill on a Part-time basis. You will be the primary point of contact for people to interact with the Practice and, as such, must have a genuine desire to provide high-quality service to our patients, referring practitioners and other stakeholders.

You must have excellent customer service, in person and over the telephone, a good level of computer literacy and an ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This role is perfect for an experienced Receptionist, Medical Receptionist or 2IC looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Meet and greet patients and visitors
  • Make appointments, invoice and receive fees consistent with practitioner protocols
  • Answer inbound/transferred calls in a polite, pleasant, professional and prompt manner
  • Assist with all general enquiries and ensure that issues are satisfactorily resolved in a timely fashion
  • Book patients for Day Surgery and provide pre-surgery information
  • General administration duties
  • Skills/Experience Required:
  • Display excellent time management skills
  • Previous experience in medical practice/ patient care role
  • Have the ability to work proactively in a busy environment
  • Absolute attention to detail
  • A genuine desire to provide high-quality customer service
  • Excellent communication skills and phone manner
  • Enjoys administration and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Have a good level of computer literacy (Experience with Blue Chip patient management program, preferred but not essential)
  • Remuneration is in keeping with the current Health Professionals and Support Services award.
