Weipa, QLD
Roster:
Rotating 7 day roster (Day, Afternoon & Night Shifts)
Pay Rate:
$31.75 p/h (Day Shift Rate) + Super + Penalties
Overview
Our client is looking for able and enthusiastic Airport Ground Staff for a prompt start. Candidates will not require any prior industry experience for this role, as full training will be provided. The major requirements are physical fitness, eagerness, and a willingness to learn. This position begins as a casual role, with a view to permanency after a successful probationary period.
Duties:
  • Bag Room functions: scanning and manual handling luggage.
  • Loading / unloading baggage & freight.
  • Aircraft Receipt & Dispatch.
  • Aircraft Pushback.
  • Water and waste services.
  • Operating Ground Service Equipment on Ramp.
Criteria:
  • Driver's License (Green Ps and above).
  • Capable of obtaining an ASIC card.
  • Have limited restrictions and ability to work a 7-day rotating roster.
  • Ability to work weekends and Public Holidays including Christmas.
  • Ability to work any shift from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM 
  • Capacity to be able to work between 25 - 35 hours per week.
  • Commit to shift lengths between 4 - 10 hours per day.
  • Available for 2-week full-time training.
