Our client is looking for experienced maintenance fitters to join their team across multiple locations such as Reservoir 3073 and Spotswood 3015.


Duties:

  • Repair and maintain all machinery/equipment to a consistently high standard.
  • Trouble shooting/setting of all machinery on site, so that production efficiency can be obtained.
  • Receive and effect specialised maintenance jobs from the Maintenance and Production Supervisors.
  • Play an active part in installation and overhaul activities.
  • Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns, with the aim of minimising downtime.
  • Understand and ensure work complies with controlled documents, and complete and maintain quality records with required by procedural documentation.
  • Ensure all the relevant machinery being maintained has been suitably isolated and tagged out as per the relevant isolation and safety procedures.
  • Inspect tooling for wear and tear.
  • The Maintenance Fitter may be required to do after hours call ins, weekend work and any required overtime.
  • Availability to do rotating shift / or stints on Afternoon Shift.
  • All permits to be filled out and signed off i.e. Hot Work, Confined Space, Roof Access, EWP, Stop Think Books, JSEA’s and Risk Assessments, LOTO
  • Maintain housekeeping standards at all times.
What you will bring to the team:
Mandatory:
  • Qualified Fitter & Turner.
  • Experience in a manufacturing maintenance field.
  • D Licence (Electrical).
Desirable:
  • Tertiary education in Mechanical/Maintenance Fitting.
  • Confined Space Ticket
  • Working At Heights / EWP.
  • First Aider.
  • Boiler Attendant Ticket.
  
Essential selection criteria
  • Availability to work regular consistent Monday-Friday shifts.
  • Physically fit and able to perform all maintenance tasks.
  • Terrific attitude towards work and genuinely want to work hard.
  • Able to pass a drug and alcohol, police and medical check.
  • Full Unrestricted Working Rights.
