About the Role

Our client is a global leader across freight, supply chain and logistics solutions with sites across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe and the U.S. Due to continuous growth and business demand, they are now seeking a highly experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist with experience in the technical & engieering space to join their growing team in Warwick Farm, Sydney.

Candidates for this position MUST have experience in either an internal or agency environment, coupled with knowhow & experience recruiting for technical capability, such as Systems Infrastructure Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Technical & Quality Manager and Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Manager, Plant Managers, Continuous Improvement Managers.

As a Talent Acquisition specialist you will be responsible for for leading end to end recruitment processes, predominantly salaried positions, ensuring the Talent Acquisition function is best in class, recruiting only the highest quality employees.

Some travel to other sites may also be required. Locations include Smithfield, Penrith, Ingleburn. Plus occasional interstate travel to Tumut, Albury, and Wodonga.

Key responsibilties include:

  • Sourcing, screening, and assessing potential applicants against identified competency requirements
  • Scheduling interviews and all pre-employment checks (Right to Work, Medical, Probity) as required
  • Facilitating offer processes and ensuring all required on boarding processes and documents are completed
  • Undertaking regular checks with new employees ensuring early issues are identified and employee and manager satisfaction
  • Ensuring alignment between the employment promise and reality
  • Understanding of current and future talent maps to ensure proactive sourcing and talent pooling where possible

About You

You will be a Talent Acquisition Specialist with strong experience in a similar role, coupled with recruitng for technical and engineering capability.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong experience in either an internal or agency environment along with solid experience in developing strategic sourcing solutions and building talent pipelines.
  • Knowhow & experience recruiting for technical capability, such as Systems Infrastructure Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Technical & Quality Manager and Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Manager, Plant Managers, Continuous Improvement Managers.
  • An understanding and working knowledge of sponsorship of employment an advantage.
