An exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to lead HSW strategy, risk management and compliance across our client’s corporate operations.  Our client is a major organisation in the oil & gas industry.

About the role

You will provide support to our Consumer Safety Manager to ensure robust HSE processes are in place and improved across the consumer business. You will have the opportunity to work alongside our alliance partners to review and agree safety initiatives to provide contractors, customers and team members a safe environment at all alliance stores.  You will support the dealer owned channel in reporting, and suggesting safety initiatives to improve safety for dealer operators. Develop reporting trends to enable best practice standards for our client to achieve safe compliant and efficient operations across all platforms of the Consumer business.

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience;

      • Experience in a retail petroleum / hazardous materials operating environment
      • Use of HSSE techniques, such as, HEMP, accident investigation and auditing.
      • Demonstrated ability to analyse data and report key findings
      • Experience in working with the public and managing contractor safety
      • Ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders
      • Demonstrated capability in project management
      • Commercial capability
      • Experience in the development of business cases to support capital spend for safety programs
      • Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety
